“We spent one night at Salute Hotel Group (SHG Hotel Bologna) on our way back to Canada after a week in Dubai. Exhausted, hungry, and desperate to go to sleep, I did a quick hotel search on Expedia and selected SHG because it had connecting rooms and it was close to the airport and train station. SO glad I did. SHG is an old, but charming hotel with an excellent restaurant. The staff are polite, but not friendly but it didn’t bother me. “One would not expect to find such a jewel of a hotel in that alley! Walking distance to center of old city. Nice and clean room, small deficiencies were promptly remedied. The garden area was fabulous and surprising. Just to sit there and listen to the blackbird while sipping coffee was memorable. Strong recommendation for a week-end stay/mini-holiday.”

“Very close to the airport (5 minute drive), clean and comfortable room. Not a lot to do in the area, as expected from an airport hotel- perfect for an early morning flight.”

“This is a smaller hotel on a quiet square that is just 5 minutes walk to the main square with all the tours and other tourist activities in the center of the old town. Very nice rooms with modern plumbing, very clean and very good service. A nice breakfast is included for those who want more than just coffee and a croissant in the morning. Five stars!”

“Helpful staff and decent on-site parking area. The parking area and the streets surrounding the hotel are a little narrow, as is typical of Bologna, but can successfully accommodate at least a mid-sized SUV. The room itself was very spacious and had plenty of surfaces for use and storage. Lots of amenities and lots of windows that can let in natural light (with adjustable blinds). We would've liked to be able to adjust the shower water to be hotter, but had no issue with the sink/wash basin……
