“The location was fabulous and our room had an amazing view over the beach. We had dinner in the bar area and had a window seat overlooking the sea. “Lovely staff. The sunday roast was one of the best I've had from a restaurant ( & plenty of it ). The sea view was incredible, we actually saw dolphins from our room. There was ample tea/coffee & milk, a large tv but the beds were absolutely incredible, they were so comfortable as was the linen. If I was to stay again in New Quay I would 💯 stay at the Penwig hotel again xx”

“I booked a single room which was ok. A little tired but obviously, the main rooms with a view possibly being sorted first. The other rooms left early in the morning and left the doors slam which kept me awake from the early hours. Door fixings need to b more gentle when they close. I did ring down to reception but failed to get an answer as I was having trouble with the tv remote. Unable to get the volume increased. I’m sure, in time, all the rooms will b renovated.”

“Off to a bad start due to the, otherwise very pleasant, owner pouncing on us as we arrived following a day of travel. We really just wanted to be left alone to arrive and unpack. Not the right time to attempt to convey information and instructions as we unpacked from the car. Nicely situated geographically with a lovely view of the sea from the front facing windows (the only windows unfortunately) and front door. Unfortunately, a public footpath goes straight past your only windows and front……
