“We enjoyed the diversity of the neighborhood especially the cosy and authentic cafes and restaurants. The view from this side into Manhattan was spectacular. The unit was not as presented on the website. Also there was a double booking of one day that we were informed of about two weeks before our stay. Still waiting for a refund. Transportation into manhattan was easy to negotiate.”

Having lived in Manhattan in the 80's, I knew the part of town that would be the best home base for most of our activiites but did not want a mega-hotel environment. “We booked September 1st to 30th. Host cancelled 1st, 2nd, and 3rd after we booked. Host refunded money, but not VRBO processing fees for her cancellation request! Check in time later than what was advertised. Apartment Not clean or modern! Furniture stained and dirty. Closet doors falling off. Shower hardware rusted and broken. Faucet in bathroom sink broken and loose. King mattress on top of a filthy, stained, and old Queen box spring, on top of a dirty Queen bed frame. Dining room chairs and……

Generally good

"Good location with several metro entries and a CVS and many restaurants nearby; clean but not crowded pedestrian walk in front of the hotel gate to easily get on and off the car with luggages. Room size is okay while still bit compact to unload the big suitcase with other small ones. Amenities are okay/basic generally within our expectations. Room is quiet for us thus we had good sleep/rest. Like the breakfast offered from the destination fee, although not too many choices but basically sufficient to me with good services. staff and cleaning ladies are good. Free to depose luggages of course tips are what it takes. I wrote to prefer a high-floor room but ended getting a low one and the staff told me he could not change what’s in the system. Don’t quite understand…well that’s what it was. "
