“this place was out in the middle of nowhere but was amazing. It was so quiet you could hear your ears ringing. the sky was clear and beautiful we saw shooting stars, the milky way and just beautiful night sky. if your in to books this is a place to explore. the owner had to have thousands of books and they were all well organized. some of the books were published in the early 1900’s. the host was very friendly and I am assuming that he put a lot of love into building this home. “Great place, would stay there again”

“A lovely wood wooden house on top of a mountain with beautiful unobstructed views. Comfortable beds, magnificent, living room, and fully equipped kitchen made our stay perfect.”

“The house was spotless, well appointed, good layout. The living room and kitchen were open and spacious and the sound system over-the-top.The house was 20 from Lewisburg and overlooks the River. The mountain and River views from 2 bedroom and the living area and large patio are fabulous.I loved the place. We would rent again. We would buy it if it were for sale! ”

“We went away for a long weekend just the two of us. The property is located in a quiet neighborhood off the beaten path. Small house, but has it all for a couple or a family of 3-4. Nice yard space, was clean, open and we loved staying hwre. We even were given a dozen farm fresh eggs. Would gladly stay there again. ”

“House was very nice. Owners have all normal amenities along with some other added touches such as coffee, toilet paper and paper towels. We had one issue and owner was quick to respond with a repair. The house wasvrt very comfortable. ”

“Holly House is a great property that is suited for a family stay in beautiful Bath County. If you’re into the outdoors, stay here where you’re close to spectacular views, pure nature, quiet and friendly people. Our host Patrick was very attentive and responsive.”

“We had such a nice trip at Hemlock House and even had family staying at the neighbor house, Holly House! It was so nice to sit out on the porch in the morning and have coffee and listen to the birds. Love love love this house!”

“So sad to have to write a less than positive review, but the house was not clean and it has a strong musty smell that appears to be coming up from the basement. The coffee pot had a bunch of mold growing in the filter compartment because the last renters didn't empty it when leaving, but apparently the cleaning crew didn't look at it either. The house had a lot of spiderwebs (and spiders) inside the foyer where you had to enter which again, the cleaning crew apparently hasn't paid attention……

“My sister and I, our spouses, children, and dogs enjoyed our Thanksgiving in the WV mountains. We were even treated to a light snow one of the nights. The house property were exactly as expected. The house has absolutely everything that you can imagine or need. Plenty of bedding, towels, and the kitchen was very well stocked. John was an excellent host and very helpful when the cloudy days depleted the solar energy store and we needed to start the generator. We loved our stay and would……
