“We stayed at the Golden Lion with friends as we were walking the 3 peaks on the Friday, we both stayed in a classic room, the rooms were lovely, comfy bed, hair dryer, shampoo and conditioner, tea and coffee and bottled water, don't forget to ask for milk before bed. We ate in the restaurant both nights, the food was lovely and we had great service. We had asked for breakfast the morning of our walk as we had to leave at half 6, unfortunately they forgot to leave out any bread or bowls for……

“Lovely weekend away, enjoyed our stay at the Homestead, Maria and Kevin were fantastic hosts. Melling is very quiet so you will need to drive to a shop/pub, that said we did walk to the pub, 45 mins. Definitely recommend and were made very welcome in their beautiful home.”

“We stayed at The Foresters Arms in the king room for 3 nights. The service from check-in to check-out was very easy. The room itself was very roomy and the bed was very comfortable. The staff couldn’t do enough, they were very friendly and knowledgeable about the surrounding area.
