“Our family of 6 enjoyed our stay at Sweet Retreat. While it was cold and snowy outside we were able to relax in a spacious home and also partake of the hot tub. Large fenced backyard was great for the pup while in the summer it would combine great with the pool and outdoor amenities!”

“Everything was great. The hosts were very generous and polite. They introduced themselves and then did not bother us at all; however they were very reassuring and told us to let them know if we needed them. They are a small farm and had chickens, ducks, a pig, and sheep. The animals were all very friendly and entertaining for us to watch while we sat on the porch. The location is in a beautiful holler with breathtaking views of the rolling hills and countryside. The small winding road follows a……

“We spent a night on our way down the east coast. Such a great place to stop to allow space for our dog to stretch after a long day of driving. Coffee,snacks and water left for us and the place was really clean. I would absolutely stop here again. If you’re looking for a dogs paradise and a stay away from the hustle and bustle, this is it!”

“Yes, it was a little out of the ordinary, but that's a good thing! Easiest "camping" experience you'll ever have. Your own private (new, flush) commode, kitchen, and huge shower! A/c and heat in the camper. What more could you want? Definitely an adventure in the hills of eastern Virginia.”
