“What a delightful place to stay! Cannot praise the staff enough! They were all so helpful, friendly and accomodating. Some English speaking staff, who were honestly the best we met in our two week stay in Japan. We were told that they don’t get many English-speaking visitors and we were the only ones there, which my teen son and I loved. “I came to shiga kogen for skiing. The hotel location is excellent. You can have either 3 mins driving to Yokoteyama ski area or 5 mins driving to central area. Other than the location, all staff are very polite, patient and helpful. Some of the staff are able to communicate in English and Cantonese fluently. “A poor maintained onsen hotel! No towel and locker available in the onsen, need to bring along everything from the room! The room itself is very old and poor maintained; the dining which is just fair, don’t expect that as same kind of Food and beverage to a graded resort; fortunately a Taiwanese lady serving down there with excellent service to pull the satisfaction up a bit! ”
