“Amazing staff, venue and hotel!”

“I stayed in Newcastle for three nights and was incredibly fortunate to choose Drummer Lodge. The location, surrounding environment, and the room’s facilities can only be described as excellent and delightful—absolutely fantastic! The hostess, Fiona, and her husband, Perry, are both extremely friendly and warm, making you feel right at home in no time. “This was our 2nd time staying at this hotel and again another amazing stay. Pauline on reception was so friendly and spoke to us more like a friend. She even thanked us for the leaving a review. We stayed in room 123 which had little steps up to it and was like a hobbits room but super cosy. Even though the hotel was extremely busy the staff couldn't do enough for the guests, always on hand to talk to guests and always had a friendly smile on their face. Breakfast again was fantastic with both……

“Main standout quality of this hotel is it’s location. Beautiful views of The Mournes and very well maintained gardens. Also ample car parking space. If you want a quiet place to escape then this is it. Very attentive staff and excellent food. We did get the impression that one of the male staff was overworked- it seemed that he was absolutely doing everything, but must stress that he was an excellent ‘people person’ and that nothing was a bother to him.
