“As I had found that this property was once owned by my 3X great granduncles I was fascinated by the history and walked in their footsteps. As I descended the original, narrow stairs with the low hand rails I imagined the original women in their high button shoes and hoop skirts more gracefully than me maneuvering them daily. It was a pleasant step back in time with it's antique atmosphere and original structure. It was my 48th wedding anniversary and staying at a family home made it even more……

“The place is an awesome old place, toasty warm and welcoming, the front porch is under construction so just be aware. Very kind host and hostess”

“A lovely hotel. Close to the town. Easy parking. Cozy and clean room. Friendly owner. Definitely it’s a great experience to stay overnight when you visit galena. ”

“The property restoration was very good. They put in a lot of work to decorate for the holiday. The owner was very nice and helpful.”

“The hosts were so sweet and upgraded our room to a suite for free since it was open. And made us the best breakfast in the morning. I'll be back in the summer for sure to have coffee on that balcony porch 😍”

“Loved the atmosphere of the hotel and rooms. All the staff were very friendly and eager to assist in whatever was needed. Rooms were cozy and spacious, however the lighting was problematic. There were 3 lamps, but no light in the main area of the room which made it difficult to see without using a flashlight. Overall, we were happy with the stay, and would consider it again for our future travels. ”

“Our stay at Lefevre Inn was a lovely time! The bed was very comfy and the check-in process was super easy. We did notice some lighting/electrical problems (the lights randomly would turn on in the bathroom and lights would flicker), but other than that it was great! ”

“Nice hotel- breakfast was ok nothing special- coffee and juice very water down. Had a restaurant and bar on premise with plenty of parking. Location was not the best for us as you could not walk into the downtown area. We drove did not use van service but they did have it which would be helpful. Resort fee really not necessary for us never used the pool or hot tub. ”

“We enjoy Hampton Inns, however this one was under construction and really torn up. I think the contractor(s) for the work could have done a much better job for the business without tearing up So much at one time. It took a bit away from our stay. ”
