“I surprised my husband with a 2 night stay for his birthday. We hiked, relaxed, dined on the porch, and felt like we were able to escape while at Shoal Sound. The accommodations were perfect - clean, spacious, homey, and comfortable! Bonus- The weather was amazing. ”

“Cabin was great. Enough room inside and out for every one including the 2dogs. Only problem we had was some of the dishes were not clean and some of the kitchen counters were sandy but nothing that soap and water could not handle. Also you do have unwanted house guests…flies…but the kids( young and old) had fun catching them and throwing them outside. Overall we had a GREAT time!”

“This is the perfect location for a quick getaway. I was at another location for a college reunion, and my husband stayed here. It was the ideal lodging for him to rest between rambling around the mountains and Brevard. He enjoyed meeting the hosts and their farm animals. ”

“The place is at the end of a gravel road. So dark and quiet. It was a lovely hideaway! At the same time it was just a 10 min drive from Brevard. We went to a great restaurant (can't remember the name but it was recommended by the host) and walked around the cute downtown adn did some shopping. The hosts were so kind. We had trouble getting on the internet becuase we put the password in wrong. They came to check it right away and my 80 year old mom was there by herself. They even gave her……

“This place was absolutely perfect for me and my teenage daughter! So clean and quiet. We stayed in a Bell tent. Peaceful beyond belief. The camp store had everything we needed and let us get some great memorabilia! We took full advantage of the amenities, which were great after hiking all day in the near by State Parks. The ice bath, sauna and hot tub were welcomed!! The convenience to so many great hiking trails, waterfalls and State Parks makes it even more favorable for us! We will be back!!”

“We booked this as a weekend getaway to meet with and host family members. The cabin is very homey with enough space for 2 people with high quality furniture, kitchenware, provided utilities, spices, a comfortable bed and more. It is truly worth the price and the fact it hosts younger adults like me and my partner is very kind of the owner.Overall i loved my stay here as a germophobe, there was absolutely NO dirtiness, scum/mold/etc anywhere.”

“Awesome stay in Brevard that is extremely close to everything downtown has to offer and only 30-45 minutes to Blue Ridge Parkway. Extremely nice cabin and Casey was super responsive. My wife and I have multiple friends who come to Brevard every year and have told them to ditch the hotels and stay here! Third time to Brevard and we plan on staying here on our yearly visit!”

“I've wanted to stay in a log cabin for some time now, and this one will be hard to top. It's forested, end of the road location make it a quiet respite from a frenetic world, although nearby downtown Saluda is far from frenetic - and that's a good thing! The deck puts you right in the middle of the forest, and the only sounds we heard were the running creek down the mountain from us and occasional birdsong. We ate out a lot but could've prepared a variety of meals with the kitchen……

“We are 3 generations from Myrtle Beach, SC and we all live within 3 miles of the Atlantic. We watched weather reports all week about Tropical Storm Debby, and though it came ashore Thursday morning with torrential rains, we left anyway! 7 hours later, we arrived at the most beautiful, serene house in the mountains! Pure paradise for 3 days and we're already planning a longer stay--same location-- next year! ”

“Me and my wife went with her parents for Memorial Day weekend.Pros:Cabin was neat and was overall easy to get to. There was a hot tub that went well enjoyed, and plenty of space to lounge and relax both inside and on the open porch. The kitchen came fully prepared for everything we needed (dishes, kuerig, etc). The house was conveniently located nearby Hendersonville and Saluda. There was an activity space downstairs and most rooms had TVs. Cons: Our view wasn’t at all like the pictures showed,……
