“Cabin was been nicely decorated and kept. The owner was very responsive. My only complaint would be hair from a pet or human I found on a pillow and a towel, but nothing too serious. The washer almost ate my clothes but that was a risk I took knowing it wasn’t the best after chatting with the owner. The place is centrally located in SLC, however it is located in an RV park which was not advertised. It wasn’t a problem but simply wasn’t advertised. Overall it was a great place.”

“We loved our stay, the accommodations, and the location. I appreciate the communication from the management team. We came prepared with a 4x4 truck, Three-Peak Mountain SnowFlake (3PMSF) rated tires, snow chains, and winter mountain experience. The snow in Big Cottonwood Canyon is legit. Come prepared and enjoy the deep Utah POW ! ! !”

“Place was nice. Had a fun time with family ”

“Had a wonderful stay in the Cozy Cabin for "Spring Break" - we were lucky enough to get about 35 inches of snow that week. The cabin was very clean, comfortable and well organized. The kitchen was well equipped with a good selection of pots/pans, accessories, and spices. Beds were all comfortable though the bunk bed room upstairs could use some shades (minor). Stairs going up to the second floor are rather steep and narrow, but it was fine for our group (might be an issue for older people……

“My friends and I stayed at this wonderful home for a weekend when visiting SLC. The home was clean and enjoyed the jacuzzi and river view. Had issues with getting the fireplace started so the property manager sent a maintenance guy over pretty quickly to get it activated. Overall it was a good place in a good location to stay when skiing/snowboarding at Brighton”

“Amazing spot to get away and breath! This place is cozy and quaint. A little peace of heaven for sure. It's okay if you feel differently, that just means I can visit more. ”

“A great basement cabin getaway. Super close to Brighton, Silverlake and the hikes in the area. Owner was super helpful and responsive when we had issue with the door lock. We stocked and comfy!”

“You know those stories about renters who just refuse to leave, frustrating landlords to no end? We almost became one of those. The house was perfect for our family of 5. Emily was great on the communication side and Alex was there everyday clearing snow (and there was lots of it). Nothing to do with the house but Brighton is fantastic too. Usually we rotate and go somewhere new each winter but this house could very possibly end that transience and bring us back for a repeat!”

“We were in town for a wedding and needed a place to stay for the week. We had a larger group and it worked perfectly. There are lots of sleeping pads, which came in handy. One note—three of the 5 bedrooms do not have a door that closes from the rest of the house completely. Lots of space in the yard to play. Loved it! Would stay again. ”

“I recently stayed at Blanche's cabin with a group of friends for a ski weekend at Brighton and Solitude. The location couldn't have been any better to access both mountains. The cabin had plenty of space for all of us to spread out and it was very well equipped with everything we needed to make our stay comfortable! The only drawback was that it was about 30 minutes down the canyon to get to restaurants, grocery stores, etc. The communication from the management company was fantastic! They were……

“We loved our stay in this lovely VRBO, hidden amongst the pines and in the beautiful setting of big Cottonwood Canyon! The stream running through the backyard and the wildflowers made for the perfect picturesque view from the dining room. We all enjoyed some R & R resting in the hammock, listening to the creek and watching the hummingbirds flitter about. We stayed here to be close to Spruces campground where our daughter was married August 2nd. The entire weekend was perfect and we felt right at……

“Unsanitary conditions in common area. It appeared that there has been no housekeeping in weeks. Has a shared bathroom and common area. Basement rooms have no kitchen area and it appears that is where most guests are assigned. Microwave had splattered food that was old, refrigerator had leftover food that was old, shower drain was clogged and clumps of hair were on the shower floor, and the toiletries from previous guests were still cluttered around the bathroom. There were brown stains on the……

“This house was perfect for our group. Plenty of room and multiple entertainment options. The kitchen was well stocked with utensils, dishware, and gadgets for meal prep. My husband was not a fan of the grill, but I think it was more due to design than anything else. I wish there was a way to turn down the heat for the pool. It was a sauna in that room and the kids only swam once because it was too warm. If we return again next year, we will ask that they heat be turned down prior to our stay.……

Great on the inside, a bit "dormitory" looking on

"We drove by The grand American and thought it was our hotel so we got a little disappointed coz the hotel is a few cottages on the outside, not particularly appealing. But the lobby is grand and the room is spacious, as shown in the photos. We love the double sinks. "
