“This is a waterfront property. We had a room with a private bathroom and the view of the loch. Gorgeous picture to wake up to. Bar downstairs did not bother us at all even we slept with open windows ( no air conditioning). Room was clean and bigger than in some European hotels we stay. Staff is friendly. The communal kitchen downstairs has refrigerators for guests and fully equipped. Also it is fridge with a food you can buy. The only negative experience is someone decided to smoke at 5 am right……

“The proprietress, Caroline, was welcoming and helpful. She had thoughtfully provided snacks and breakfast foods / drinks for the room. The room was cozy, clean, and quiet. We had a beautiful view during our walk down to Oban town, caught a gorgeous sunset, and enjoyed dinner at the Oban Brasserie (in the Perle Oban hotel). Thank you for a lovely stay!”

“This is an old hotel. It's used by tour groups. That tells you what to expect. Yes, it is a bit dated but the rooms are fine and the staff are absolutely lovely. Breakfast is good and generous. Oban is full of very expensive hotel rooms in the season and I was very happy with the rate Expedia gave me. It's right by the bus and train stations and very near the ferries. It's fine and I'd stay again ”

“This is by far the worst hotel I have ever stayed in. The condition of the room was extremely poor and absolutely not worth the price. What was most unacceptable was that the room I was given looked nothing like the photos shown on the booking website. Instead of a standard room on the main floors, I was placed in one of two attic rooms, which were dark, cramped, and completely unsuitable for use as hotel accommodation. “Ett äldre mysigt litet hotell. Vi hade tur som fick ett rum på 3:e våningen för det finns ingen hiss. Litet rum men rent och mycket skön säng. Toppen med badkar som vi passade på att nyttja. Vi åt frukost sista morgonen och den var god och väl tilltagen, dock ganska dyr. Ägaren jätterar och charmig och serviceminded. Läget perfekt. Vi saknade fri Wi-Fi men ett ställe nära (LuLu) hade bra uppkoppling så en drink och lite surfing blev bra.”

“Amazing country manor! Gracious rooms. Wonderful staff. Delicious breakfast! Very close to Oban. Quiet! The only slight I had was the over abundance of smell. Each area has reed diffusers and it is a lot of smell. As someone sensitive to that it was a bit much. I put our reed diffuser in a closet and then it was fine. Would I recommend this to friends? 1000%! You have to see it to believe it. Absolutely amazing! ”

“Enjoyed our stay - beautiful location in glorious weather!! ☀️ Just a few extra touches would have made all the difference, such as upgraded amenities in our room (providing tissues, magnifying mirror, better quality toiletries etc) and more varied dining and breakfast menu options, otherwise a fairly standard 4 star hotel. Biggest issue was the creaky floor above our bedroom, sounded like the elephants were having a dance!! All in all however, we would definitely stay there again 😊”
