“My family of four and our close friends (also a family of four) stayed at this house over a long weekend trip to Acadia. While it is about 50 minutes from Bar Harbor, it's a shorter trip to the Schoodic Pennisula part of the park, and a lovely drive. The owners were very responsive and helpful. “The house is gorgeous! Lots of room! Great views! We used the spotting scope continuously!! It is a little isolated so you have to drive a lot for groceries, firewood, restaurants. We loved the beach and the fire pit!! ”

“This was such an amazing stay, I highly recommend it. Check in was very easy and straight forward. The bathroom was right next to the shed and was very clean inside. We had a bit of a problem with the power, but they fixed it within 5 minutes of me texting them. We had a tour of the farm which was the highlight of my Maine trip. Wish we stayed longer, thank you so much for an amazing/unique stay!! ”

“I loved the concept. However, it was a muddy mess to get back there. I don’t mind mud but you can’t carry everything back with you. I think they could put a path way with wood berms or hravel. I fell and slid in mud so walking back with a clean change of clothes impossible because your most definiy gonna fall i. the mud. loved the animals though”

“My wife and I felt very lucky to have found The Miners Den which is a very new creation of a great proprietor who really cares about your experience.The hand built cabin is gently fitted to the landscape of balsam firs and hardwoods with a light touch.It reminded me of the few small cabins in the White Mountains you find along the trails.Everything you need less food is provided.For a couple in their sixties with a friendly dog we will be excited to get back there and see what’s happening.Oh……

“The house was beautifully set up for a lovely stay with our family. We had plans to visit some of the many preserve walks that are conveniently located nearby, however the house, beach and location itself was so charming we decided to stay in and enjoy it instead. The views each morning and night was especially breathtaking. We enjoyed seeing seals in the cove and hardworking lobstermen at work, right from the house and deck. The beach was a favorite spot to collect precious stones, and the deck……

“Set back on a private dirt road the setting was perfect. The property was within 50ft of the ocean with spectacular views. The sound of the waves was relaxing no matter what time of day it was. The cottage itself was very cozy, well maintained and had all the necessities we needed for our getaway. Thank you!!!”
