“While I hiked the AT my wife would pick me up at the end of each day the first week and the property was located in the perfect spot for her to get to me and drop me off the next morning. The home had a great cabin feel and was secluded which was nice when we used the hot tub each evening. I would rate it a 5 but we had issues with black ants and trouble with WiFi. Other than that it was a great stay for us. ”

Check in was smooth and we appreciated the prompt answers to our questions, over text message.Things to improve:1. The washing machine is malfunctioning. It appears to wash but does not spin very well on the wash cycle. I had to run it a few times on the drain cycle to drain the clothes. I recommend getting a new washer.2. But more importantly, from check in until departure we felt totally taken care of! The cabin is clean and fully stocked (I’m talking things you NEVER get in a vacation rental- Ziploc bags? Firestart? “The cabin was exactly as we'd pictured it -- plenty of room for three adults and an easy walk or drive to trailheads on the Appalachian Trail. The hike from the cabin up to the AT and then to Preacher Rock was delightful (about 10 miles round trip). We appreciated the kitchen, heaters, and washing machine -- and the view of the sunset through the trees from the sun room! We heard many bird species while we were there, which was a real treat. We highly recommend the barbecue from Wildcat, and the……

“A beautiful place to stay! The home was clean, and the beds were incredibly comfortable. While having a TV in the bedrooms would have been a nice touch, it wasn’t a big deal for us. The property sits up a fairly steep road—4WD isn’t absolutely necessary, but it definitely made the drive easier. The backdrop was stunning, with gorgeous mountain views even in March. Communication with the owner was smooth and effortless. Overall, a fantastic stay!”
