“ We recently stayed over the weekend & had a great time. The house was clean, had great amenities, which we enjoyed many of & is pet friendly. Loved the views & was able to make the most of that with the use of the kayaks available right by the water, life jackets were also available. Enjoyed the fire pit & the convenience of having chopped wood available on sight put it over the top! The location worked out so well, we were able to enjoy some of the natural wonders of Acadia National Park……

“Actually writing this review whilst sitting in the screened in porch on a cool and rainy May morning. We chose this house as a base for our long weekend explorations of Acadia and the surrounding area. What we didn’t realize was that the house is a destination in itself. “Spruce Island is an idyllic place and our host, Colie, a wizard. The magic began when Colie picked us up In the SeaLegs and transported us to the granite Main house. We opted for the full package, including having Colie as our Captain for the week. Days were spent exploring Spruce and nearby Buckle Island; wading through tidal pools; going fishing for mackerel; hiking the trails and discovering the quarries at nearby Green and Russ Islands; biking at Isle au Haut; and boating to Bar Harbor in……
