“I recently stayed at Palmers, and I couldn’t have been more impressed. From the moment I arrived, the staff went above and beyond to ensure my stay was comfortable and memorable. My college who I was travelling with managed to book the following day but the staff quickly got a room ready. The check-in process was seamless, and I was warmly welcomed by a member of staff. “This was a 1-night stay for work. Car park was free and small. The hotel is set back from the road, so you need to drive down a gravel roadway. Nice greeting on checking in. I was in room 6, which was great. Desk and chair to work at in room, comfortable bed, ensuite was lovely. The shower over the bath was not powerful. Lovely side lamps by bed. TV and internet were good. I also ate in bar (as there was no other choice nearby) and the homemade fish pie was tasty. Food ends at 8:30pm.”

“We did have an issue with the heating in the room, it was freezing, after we complained the manger suggested we went out for a pre booked appointment and upon return he would have it sorted We returned to find the room was still cold, we were immediately offered an upgrade to a much bigger suite in a differing part of the hotel. Well done to the staff ”

“Cosy rooms above a lovely pub restaurant. Rooms can be a bit small but easily manageable depending on which one you get. TV's though are very small so just used my laptop on sky go as the guest WiFi is quite good.”
