“We had the pleasure of staying in the Pleasure Lake Retreat House. The home is situated on a small lake and has everything a group could ask for to keep entertained. It comfortably slept six people with room and beds to spare. There is a pool table, dart board, ping pong table, fishing poles, basketballs and a hoop and board games. We never got bored and would love to come back on our next visit to the area.”

“The home was great for our short visit to Waupaca. Location was good, neighborhood was quiet. Hosts were very easy to communicate with. ”

“Very small cabin; luckily, it was just the two of us, and we only stayed for two nights before heading up north. I would not recommend this for more than two people; it was very cramped. Don't bother trying to use the stove or trying to cook or anything like that; it's just way too cramped. But other than that, it was clean, easy to find and access, located literally right on the river, and just down the street from all the bars and restaurants. How ever, while was listed partly correctly as being on the wolf River, it was not mentioned that the location is on a swampy Bayou portion of the wolf River. You can't swim in it. I had rented this particularly for swimming in the wolf River and was disappointed. ”

“Michele was an amazing host!”

“The house was very clean, and the screened in porch was our favorite place to hang out. The inside is definitely rustic, and I might suggest they invest in numerous upgrades. For example, air conditioning, and dryer needs to be fixed (which the owner did mention). The lack of air conditioning made the house very musty. The drains in a couple of the bathrooms were not draining adequately. The lack of lighting led to a spooky atmosphere, especially in the lower level. It definitely had room to……

“We satyed with 3 couples for the weekend. Beautiful place in a great location. Well equipped kitchen. We played cards at the counter and had plentyof space. Had everything we needed for meals/cookingin the kitchen. Already panning to book for JANUARY and possibly other dates next year. Very nice area for walking and the patio area is beautiful! ”

“location was great - walking distance to everything, access to the chain, tucked back in a bay with plenty of floaties, kayaks, paddle boat and a nice pier. great gathering space - plenty of room for a large group. Would have preferred a gash grill but we made do - convenient fire pit for s'mores and a nice sun porch. ”
