“Gorgeous views, lovely and spacious home, near fun little mountain town of Salida. We enjoyed skiing at Monarch and ringing in the new year in downtown Salida. Host was friendly, easily reachable, and gave lots of thorough instructions and ideas for things to do. ”

The cabin was well-appointed in the kitchen and had above and beyond the typical kind and amount of toiletries so once you had your groceries you could really stay in and enjoy the beautiful surroundings! “This cabin has a beautiful view and the beds were comfortable. The immediate driveway needs to be addressed a bit with (deep washed out areas) but it’s ok with an SUV. I really liked that they had comfortable seating outside with cushions to enjoy the view. There was plenty of stocked dishes to cook with. The drive to the house is 40 minutes from the main road and is mostly dirt but the drive is pretty. Make sure you bring any groceries or anything you need if you do not want to travel out a……

“My spouse and I loved the cabin. I greatly appreciated the level of care the cabin was prepared with; it had everything ready and was very clean. It was perfect for the two of us. It was fun to roam around the grounds and see how close it was to the national forest. It was a perfect drive to Mt. Princeton too. It was definitely a 5/5 stay. ”

Lee was a great host, gave good suggestions regarding things to do, and the directions he provided were very helpful. Only suggestions are: fly into Colorado Springs if possible (closer), stop at Safeway instead of general store for groceries - further but cheaper/better selection just buy ice to keep groceries cold for the remainder of the drive, we enjoyed coyotes den for coffee and great food, visit……

“This cabin was located at a lower elevation than other cabins we viewed. Perfect for a couples get away. Appliances were large and functioned well. Used the crock pot and ate at the cabin. Never ate out! We enjoyed visiting this part of Colorado which made this cabin a great location. The history of the cabin is awesome decor and the framed reminders of what NOT to do at the cabin was very tasteful. We used the Fire-pit every night and enjoyed the wilderness location. It is cute, sufficient in size, and made me never want to leave. 10 out of 10, the best staycation we’ve found while out and about exploring places in CO. We are most definitely going to attend again for this upcoming summer!”

“The location is beautiful and relaxing. The beds are seriously the most comfortable we have ever slept in! So many thoughtful touches like toiletries and towels, and an amazingly well stocked kitchen. It’s just a short (and beautiful) drive outside of Salida … we loved it!!”
