“The property was exceptional. It would be nice for the cleaning staff to provide services daily. The reception and dining staff were wonderful and made sure we are properly fed.”
“The expectation was not as it was advertised. Its a self catering but there is no refrigerator in the room. The building is delapidated with a smell. We ended up checking out early. ”
“We enjoyed our stay at this property however there were a couple of issues. When we tried to check in, we were told they had no record of our reservation via Expedia, so confirm before you arrive. Luckily the manager was home and we were able to stay there because there were rooms available. The rooms were nicely decorated and there was a pretty garden. There was some construction in the neighbourhood which was a bit noisy until 9pm. overall great value for money and we enjoyed our stay. ”

“The location of the hotel is good. The stairs down the the rooms is built for somebody with long legs and the ramp - not sure if that is for a wheel chair which I will never use. The restaurant is very over priced and its really not great food. The food at Mrs Simpson is WAY better. The fire place, having a vent right on top, the room was always smelling of smoke. Rooms do all need a little TLC. Staff is very friendly and helpful.”
“Our stay at Sabi star chalets not what we expected.The toilets and bathrooms need upgrading.Towels not changed everyday.
Otherwise clean and everything else we needed was there.
Rooms are not soundproof.Conversations from adjoining chalet can be heard.
There was a couple next door that argued and fought the entire night.Room 18.My family was in room 17 and hadnt slept entire night.
Altho security did respond when called the noise carried on.Fortunately thay left next day.

Das Chalet ist etwas in die Jahre gekommen, die Schränke riechen muffig, der Fernseher funktionierte nicht, aber die wundervolle Umgebung mit den Tieren auf dem Gelände machen alles wett.
Das zugehörige Restaurant ist empfehlenswert. ”
“A Perfect Escape at Valley of the Rainbow
Our stay at Valley of the Rainbow was absolutely fantastic! While there was no cellphone signal or WiFi at the chalet, it was a welcome break from technology—exactly what we needed to truly unwind. The setting was peaceful and breathtaking, making it the perfect place to disconnect and enjoy nature.
We had an amazing time exploring the trail walk, which offered stunning views, and even tried our hand at fly fishing. Manie was an excellent teacher, and……
“The physicality is breath taking! It is close enough to Johannesburg that a quick weekend getaway is doable without driving for untold hours before you reach your destination. This is quiet hideaway, and even though Wi-Fi availability is advertised, there is no cover in the accommodation that we used. Spotty Wi-Fi is available in the reception area. The approach roadway is bad! So no small cars as you need height or off-road ability, large cars are wide and are damaged by encroaching vegetation……
