“It was a family big birthday (70!) celebration and we wanted to include the dog. This was perfect. Gorgeous scenery, lots of farm animals, great cafe just down the road, lovely hosts (who even rescued us and gave us a ride back to the cottage after we got stuck in heavy rain and threatening lightning storm on our walk). The cottage has lots of character and Kiwi charm. Would highly recommend. It was a particularly cold night when we visited but there were plenty of blankets and heating was good.……

“What a wonderful stay! We loved every minute! Jennie was an incredibly welcoming host and we felt like we were at home so much we actually DID NOT WANT TO LEAVE! Absolutely recommend! Every nook and cranny of the house and property have something to pique your interest and at the same time force you to relax and appreciate the beauty of Waiheke and of nature in general! We'll be back!”

“We always have a great stay at Sunset Motel. Check in is always a breeze with self check in. Diane (manager) is super lovely, always keen for a chat and helps out if we ever need anything. All the staff are great, very respectful of privacy especially during turnover service. Location is brilliant, clear view to the water if you are keen on fishing and need to check what’s happening. Reserve right next door if you bring your pup for exercise. Just a great property to relax or get away.”
