“Starting with the positives: the room was lovely, large, well appointed and furnished to high standard, large bathroom with bath and shower.
BUT if you are staying on a weekend or the night before a Public holiday be prepared for the pub to be packed and the music to be loud. We could easily hear music and voices from the bar in our room, and it wasn’t just in the background. We complained and the music did get turned down which also meant the voices weren’t as loud, but we still had to sleep……
“Amazing accommodation but because of the age of the building it only had single glazed windows so the noise from cars and people going past was annoying so ended up buying ear plugs for second night. Unfortunately would not stay there again if in a front room again”
“Myself and partner just had the one night away, great set up, accommodation was excellent, quaint and very clean and comfortable. Nigel(the host) was a pleasure to meet and nothing was an issue for him should there of been one.
If anyone is thinking of booking here, you won’t be disappointed. ”
“The Crown seems a bit tired and we felt we didn’t want to eat an evening meal there. The accommodation was lovely and clean and provided everything we needed. The bed was comfy but the pillows were hard. If staying bring your own pillows. The breakfast was basic but the landlady was lovely. We stayed because we had been at a funeral in Swaffham and visiting Sandringham.”
“Managed to book a room for an emergency stay.
Room was bright, clean even if a little small, but it was the "economy" room.
Disappointed that there was no bottled water in the room, (5am return to room after an horrendous night and nothing to drink available. Allegic to tea and coffee.)
Would stay again.”
“Beautifully decorated and appointed. Large TV in room. Comfortable bed. Only negative is that the room was hot so had to open window and nearby road is noisy. Also walls thin so could hear people in next room using bathroom, coughing etc. Which disturbed my sleep. ”
“Magnificent! A really great outing for the senses: comfortable, beautiful presented old school house with an antique shop in the playground, good parking, superb village location, convenient for the whole of west Norfolk and close enough to major routes for the rest of the county / region. Bridget and Andrew are excellent hosts, the breakfast was wonderful, wi-fi strong, and decoration throughout is marvellous. Very good value stay - top quality shower!! As ever, my best recommendation would be……
“Brilliant staff, clean room and comfortable bed. Plumbing, namely water draining away shower/sink, was a little slow, which could cause the shower tray to flood into the bathroom. More an issue in the morning, possibly due to system capacity.
Wedding party was a little noisy on one night, but to be expected.”
“Welcomed at reception on arrival. Staff very helpful and friendly. Room was very clean an well presented. Bed very comfortable and the en-suite was very good.
Great food in the Pub and lovely breakfast in the Hotel dining room. Outside areas are great with lovely sea views. Check out the Garden Coffee House and the short walk to the beach.
We'll be back!

“Unfortunately as we had travelled by train we were limited to using the buses to get into King's Lynn which was quite a good service but was a long 20/25 minutes walk to the bus stop from the hotel.
Everything about the hotel was excellent. Friendly, helpful staff and very clean throughout. Delicious food ”
