“I reserved another night on Expedia, but didn't tell the front desk. The guy af the front let me stay way after check out not knowing I reserved another night. When he called he was very nice, abd checked me in the same room. I will stay here everytime I'm in town. ”

“Great place to spend a weekend or week away! The kayaks and canoes were amazing to spend time out on the lake and river. Nearby nature preserves allowed for some fantastic hikes. Comfortable beds and great spaces for lounging and cooking with an incredible porch with view of the lake to watch the bald eagles and herons while sipping your morning coffee. Highly recommend!”

I understand that things can break unexpectedly, but the hot tub issue was only disclosed one day before arrival (and only after I asked about it). By that time, rebooking wasn’t an option. What made the situation disappointing was not the breakdown itself, but the host’s dismissive and rude response when I asked……
