Perched on a hill, the hotel is a lovely 19th century stone building and the interior is impeccably maintained and spotlessly clean. We had a premium room and were amazed by the size and beautiful views over Pitlochry. Our first night we decided ahead of time to dine at the hotel and it was absolutely wonderful. “All aspects of the hotel were very good, all rooms were pleasingly decorated and as you would wish in a traditional highland hotel, even down to some whisky in the room. We requested a front room and this was provided. Great cooking. ”

“The hotel doesn’t have an elevator. I stayed on the first floor. Actually, there is a corridor between the first floor and the carpark with a few steps only. However, the receptionist didn’t told me about that. She simply told me to carry the luggages through the normal entrance and go up one floor “ONLY” . No help had been offered and she clearly knew I got a car. Nowadays, it is not usual asking the lady customers to carry the luggages going upstairs ”

“Excellent location for a short stay. We stayed in the maxwells which were very comfortable with all the right facilities. My only suggestion would be to provide split bins for waste and recycling (landfill / plastic and tins) along with a tub for compostable waste. ”
