“Moreno's Cottages are a pleasant series of little cabins between Lake Placid and Saranac Lake. My brother and I stayed in #7. There were two twin beds, a nook and a small, separate kitchen area. It was rustic, but modern enough to feel like you had a place to relax after a hike. We did have some problems getting in, but Todd was super accommodating and had backup codes for us to use. “Come to find out, that the Owners had closed their Vrbo account a few years prior. I showed up with the confirmation on Vrbo. The Owners were VERY GRACIOUS and accommodating. They immediately came down and cleaned and refreshed a camp that was not finished for me to stay in. They gave me a few handmade souvenirs and had me come over to their Farm for a Farm-Fresh homemade Breakfast. Such a great family and people to have. I commend them for their efforts and making me feel welcome and safe. I……

“It was great to get some warm up runs in cross country skiing right out the front door, grab the included ski passes to Scotts Cobble right across the street for some nice laps on groomed trails. Definitely recommend this quiet getaway just a few minutes from downtown Placid.”

“This is a tiny bare bones cabin. Hardly room for a couple. No stove or place to cook. There was microwave and sink. The bed was large but mattress sagged in middle. The drawers were hard to open and close. No one on premises to greet you; access entirely on internet, but internet and phone connection spotty. We did not receive emails so we had a lot of trouble getting in. However, owners were subsequently available by phone and were responsive if we had problem. The location is excellent right……
