“My wife and I visited for a show in town, and the hotel was in a great location for accessing the town centre. The decoration was unique and really pleasant, the bathroom was lovely, and the bed was very comfy. We also really enjoyed having keypads to access both the building and room so we didn’t have to worry about keys/cards.”

“We had a nice time at the Pecking Mill. It was clean, the room was extra large, with a double bed and two single beds. The breakfast was cook nicely and was hot. There were cereals, yogurts, toast, orange juice and hot drinks. A lovely place to stay.”

“You get what you pay for, oh okay its not got lovely gardens to walk through but the hotel building, the service, friendliness of the staff is good. The view from the Terrace bar over the rural landscape of the Somerset levels to Glastonbury Torr lovely. The breakfasts, and evening meal a little pricey but well presented, lovely flavours and great tastes. 3 to 4 days as a base to explore... good spot..... thoroughly recommend.... and boy are we fussy.”

“Attic room, was nice, however not so great if you are tall. Even at 5ft 8, and partner 6ft 3 spent alot of time bent over avoiding hitting our heads. Bath was spectacular! Room was warm, and restrictors on the windows, so unable to get any air flow. Bed very comfy! Cafetiere and Illy coffee was a lovely touch Was a bit disappointed breakfast was included, but had to.pay extra £4 each for a full english. Food was good though. Staff super lovely.”

“Cant fault the staff and the hotel. Room was quiet and clean. Only criticism i have is of the menu - very little choice. The Wookey Hole Inn, more or less over the road about a minute's walk away, had a much better menu, and the food was good. ”

“Lovely pub with great beer and food. My room was comfortable and quiet. It was a very hot night so I quickly removed the 13.5 tog! duvet from the cover but I had a good night’s sleep. ”

“The hotel is quite dated but this adds to the character. The room itself needs some updated furniture, more privacy on the windows, especially the toilet window as there was no way of keeping that up and if it was kept propped up it was in full view of the main road. There was a mix up with the rooms that meant somebody else took the breakfast we paid for and nothing was offered back to us.”
