“Great stay. The owner made sure we had everything we needed when we arrived. He even took us up the road to his other sight with a perfect shallow area for littles. We had a 2yo and 5mo. He had everything we needed, definitely feels cozy and like grandmas house.There is a canoe to go off and explore. Water is deep in this area. Would be good swimming for older older kids and fishing was good. He has a feeder for the fish which was fun. There are stickers in the area so make sure little ones……

“ Great place, not too far from the river. We used the location for half-day kayak trips from Castell. It is a very quiet and peaceful place.”

“Great place to get away, nice and quiet. The hoyse had anything you might need. If you like the outdoors and sit ourside and enjoy the sunrise and sunsets, this is the place. Best part is that since there isn't internet the kids had to intertain themselves and had to interact with others. We loved the history of the place and its rustic look. We will definitely come back soon.”

“We had the BEST time at the Castell Cabin! We got away from the hustle and bustle of life and enjoyed the Llano River, fishing, scaling the rocks, spying all sorts of wildlife! Great location near the Llano, Mason, & Fredricksburg triangle! The Castell Cabin has WiFi so we could stream on our devices as needed, all sorts of other amenities, and comfortable beds! Great Get Away!”

“This home was very accommodating for our family gathering of 5 and had more amenities than described. Super cute and full of charm & history. We hadn’t been there long when we realized the air conditioning was not working on a hot July day. It was raining, too and there were areas that were flooding. We notified Kristi and she is definitely a Super Host! She had the problem fixed within hours on a holiday weekend!!! God Bless her and her crew! She’s full of integrity and made our day! ……

“The cabin is just the right size for a couple. The high ceilings make the cabin feel roomy. The bed was comfortable and Kathy took care of anything we needed. We had access to the whole ranch and enjoyed seeing the wildlife each day, especially the longhorn calves. We cooked our meals there and had all we need. If you want to grill you’ll need to provide your own charcoal. The cabin is quiet and cozy deep in the heart of the Hill Country.”
