“The cabin is just the right size for a couple. The high ceilings make the cabin feel roomy. The bed was comfortable and Kathy took care of anything we needed. We had access to the whole ranch and enjoyed seeing the wildlife each day, especially the longhorn calves. We cooked our meals there and had all we need. If you want to grill you’ll need to provide your own charcoal. The cabin is quiet and cozy deep in the heart of the Hill Country.”

“We just had a wonderful weekend stay at the El Castell Cabins with our close friends. The location was great - we had big plans to go into Mason, but the cabins were so great that we never left except to walk across the street to the Castell General Store for dinner & drinks. “We had a trip of six guys, three father and son groups, to the hill country planned and found this rental which worked out perfect for us. The house and bunk house were very accommodating, clean and comfortable. The location outside of Llano was perfect. The property is in an area along the river that was very scenic with deer in the yard everyday. There are neighbors, but we never saw them and my guess is they are mostly getaway type places. I would recommend for your next trip. ”

“This place is cute and comfortable! The host is responsive and friendly. The house backs up to the llano lake/river and has lovely views from the kitchen and back deck. There’s close proximity to the downtown area which is very cute. It’s within 45 minutes to Colorado bend state park which was an added bonus for us. ”
