“Rain or shine, Hana never fails to disappoint. A stay here is tonic for the soul. After the busy activities in Lahaina area, it felt great to slow down and just be. The home was a tranquil place, beautiful yard of flowers to greet us, a strand of native bananas hung by the door for the picking. Good! We are two older couples and the accommodations were perfect. Close to town, a short walk to a dramatic black lava beach, you can see the ocean from the porch. And the porch....a special……

“Our second stay in this house (top floor only).Easy booking, clear instructions, has as described. Great location for our stay in Hana. Helpful host!We were familiar with the house and it is as advertised. The only issue was two of the fans don't work as they should (one moves little to no air now as compared to our last stay) and the other started making very loud noises during the night and woke 2 of us up. When they are fixed all will be great! ”

“Pros: Incredible setting and the grounds are beautiful. Whale watching from the hot tub was probably the highlight of our trip. The pool gets the perfect amount of sun on the nice days. The whole property is very calm and relaxing. The people onsite are incredibly friendly and do not disturb the guests.Cons:The circle bed in the listing photos in incredibly uncomfortable. Getting in and out you or rolling or kneeling on marble to get on a mattress that has seen better decades. We would've slept……

“My husband and I stayed in the pole house while visiting Maui. It is at the base of the road to Hana and near Haleakalā, both things we wanted to do while there. It is close to Pa’ia town for shopping and close to Mama’s fish house as well as other restaurants. The turtle beach Ho’okipa is also not far. If you surf, you will be close to some of the best surf spots on the island. The house is an open air house although you can close everything and use fans which is enough on this side of the……

“This place was truly special. I don't know if I have ever been somewhere so beautiful. Unfortunately the wind was pretty bad while we were there, so the hot tub/patio overlooking the cliff was almost unusable. The small pool was very chilly. We used the community pool and hot tub/sauna and it was lovely. Keep in mind the pool house bedroom is quite loud with jungle sounds at night (which is good and bad). The outdoor shower was fun, but it was very not private when it comes to other members of……

“Maddie and Jimmy could not have been friendlier or more thoughtful hosts. They welcomed us to their beautiful home with a bounty of food and treats, including fresh eggs from their flock of hens. “Located between two beaches (within walking distance) in quiet Hāna, this picturesque beach house was the perfect setting for a peaceful family vacation for 7 people. “This was our first time making it out to Hana to stay for a couple of nights and I wish we had had more time there. The house was perfect for our group of six. We really appreciated that they had six beach chairs, two umbrellas & plenty of towels. The outside shower was a real help in making sure sand didn’t make its way into the units. I highly recommend this property”

“Just wonderful. Bananas and star fruit growing in the yard, amongst dozens of different flowers. You do have to share the premises with cows and geckos….fine by us! Big, open rooms, very old-beach style. Wonderful ocean views, particularly from the upstairs bedroom. A great visit.”

“For Hana, this was a great find. AC in both bedrooms. Nice porch with a great view. Full kitchen. Modern rain shower was great after the long drive. Check and out was easy. ”

“The neighborhood is a nice quiet area, with shops & places to eat within a minute walk. The driveway is a bit tricky, but opens up to a beautiful property with plenty of outdoor space. The house itself was very clean & neat, and the rooms all fit our needs. We only stayed one night but wish we could have stayed a week! I would highly recommend this property to anyone looking to stay off the beaten path but still be able to see everything you want!”
