“Pros: Incredible setting and the grounds are beautiful. Whale watching from the hot tub was probably the highlight of our trip. The pool gets the perfect amount of sun on the nice days. The whole property is very calm and relaxing. The people onsite are incredibly friendly and do not disturb the guests.Cons:The circle bed in the listing photos in incredibly uncomfortable. Getting in and out you or rolling or kneeling on marble to get on a mattress that has seen better decades. We would've slept……

“We had a great time. Location is beautiful. House is comfortable, clean, and well-equipped. The view is amazing. Pool and whirlpool were a hit. Close to stores/restaurants in Makawao. Good hiking nearby. The hosts were responsive and helpful. Really can’t say enough about the views. I spent more time enjoying the views than reading my book! Didn’t even think about turning on the TV!”

“In short, if you are planning on a few days, a week, or even longer in Hana Town, you are the kind of person who will love this bungalow.Hana Ocean Palms Bungalow is a place to settle in for a while when exploring the southeast side of Maui. The grounds have a very tropical forest atmosphere. The birds and mongoose scurrying in and out of the banana plants, Hawaiian Ginger everywhere, other types of palms with ferns and orchids high in the air, just a very comfortable place to sit and take it……

“Where else on Maui can you find a seven bedroom, seven bathroom private home that exists in a botanical garden? This place is an Upcountry Shangri-la, whether you’re working or playing. It mixes the utilitarian (see above about bedrooms/ bathrooms) with the Romantic: jaw dropping views, unforgettable sunrises and sunsets, and a view to the night sky that would make an early explorer just as relaxed. I’ll bet there are two dozen interesting trees on the property: an epic Banyan tree, an avocado……

“The log cabin was very comfortable and accommodating for our multi-generational family of 8. The setting is gorgeous and the Sacred Garden a must. Eve, our host, was very responsive and there for everything we needed without being intrusive. Highly recommend!”

“We found the cottage to be just as described. The photos also are accurate. The home to us had the feel of Aloha! Beds were very comfortable and we had everything we needed. Location is idea to explore the community without the rush. ”

“The neighborhood is a nice quiet area, with shops & places to eat within a minute walk. The driveway is a bit tricky, but opens up to a beautiful property with plenty of outdoor space. The house itself was very clean & neat, and the rooms all fit our needs. We only stayed one night but wish we could have stayed a week! I would highly recommend this property to anyone looking to stay off the beaten path but still be able to see everything you want!”
