“UPON ARRIVAL YOU SEE A SIGN THAT SAYS PRIVATE RD. SO I TURNED AROUND AND LEFT. BACKED TRACKED AND LOOKED ELSEWHERE. AFTER 30 MINUTES OF GOING DOWN OTHER ROADS, I WENT BACK AND WENT BACK TO PRIVATE RD AND WENT PASSED SIGN. THEN I SEEN ANOTHER SIGN WITH THE ADDRESS AND IT WAS NOT VERY BIG. COULD NOT SEE IT FROM THE SIGN THAT SAID PRIVATE. NORMALY WHEN YOU SEE A SIGN THAT SAYS PRIVATE RD. YOU DON'T GO PAST IT. I SUGGEST A SIGN THAT SAYS HICKORY HIDEOUT.”

“We really enjoyed our stay at this cabin! We appreciated the thoughtfulness that the owner obviously put into the cabin. Waiters for the nearby river for fishing hung on a rack, hot chocolate, snacks, candy and popcorn were on the counter, you can tell they care. The location was so peaceful and quiet! The hot tub on the back porch was our favorite part - it was the perfect spot to watch the sun rise. I saw a few mention the loft being hot, and it seemed they had installed an ac upstairs to help……

“My husband and I stayed here for 4 days and had the most relaxing time. We enjoyed coffee on the porch each morning and loved being so close to some trails. The scenery is gorgeous and it’s very quiet. The cabin is fully stocked with everything you could need and it’s very comfortable. Check in and out instructions were simple & clear. ”

“Perfect size for the two of us. The tall stools with the dining set felt unsafe for us likely due to being seniors. Found sitting on the porch facing the woods very pleasant. it had a table we used as an alternative. Decorated very nicely throughout. Quite, peaceful, Many scenic drives nearby. Beds are big and comfortable. Endless number of bathroom linens and abundant toiletries.”
