“Honestly , was the most beautiful place . So many small touches from the home made scones to the hand held mirror with the lighting . The grounds are beautiful , so peaceful. The bed was so comfortable , falling asleep under the stars. Dean and Stephen really did go above and beyond - so friendly and gave recommendations for places to eat and visit which made our visit even better ! Loved it !!! Highly recommend ! ”

“The location can not be beaten, right on the beach of Portcothan Bay. This is one of these places you're kids will remember when they grow older "the time we stayed in the house with all the stuff found at the beach". It has great summer, beachie vibes and Jane is a lovelly host. Its a long way from where we usually live otherwise this would become our favourite weekend spot for sure ”

“This is the third time I've been to the Hide and it never fails to impress. The hosts are wonderful, the location is perfect for trips out, and the Hide, itself, is perfect for a quiet retreat. “This property is very central to lots of beautiful beaches and villages in Cornwall. The lodge has everything we needed. Only downside is the garden is not secure for the dogs and it’s near a busy road . The hot water boiler keeps going out and water is not very warm to wash up . ”

“We just stayed here for my sister’s hen weekend. Although at one point we didn’t think we would make it due to restriction, he hosts could not have been more helpful to make it easy for us. “Byemills is a great place to stay.we had such a restful and pleasant stay. Our hosts were brilliant and when there was a brief region wide power cut they were straight to us to ensure we had everything we needed. Easy walking distance to local pubs and a great historical stone circle at Stanton Drew. We loved our stay and made all the more special with it being Christmas. ”

“The Shepherds Nest is the best Shepherds Hut we’ve stayed in, for space, amenities and for hospitality. It’s well built, furnished to a high standard and there’s a lot of thought gone into everything. Charlie and Carol were really welcoming and there were lots of little touches, and nice surprises on our arrival. The outside bath is great, in all weathers! We’d highly recommend.”

“Thank you so much! We enjoyed our stay soooo much! We are a bunch of six ladies (childhood friends) having a long over due catchup weekend! All we wanted was a hot tub so we booked this little getaway. They were so accommodating, a welcome bottle of procesco waiting for us, chocolates, hot chocolate, tea and coffee as well as having a box of thing in the cabin in case you forgot them, like paracetamol and new toothbrushes, shampoo, conditioner which we thought was just a lovely touch! “Great place for a family get together. Plenty of room to spread out. Hot tub and games room were well used. The house is bright, modern and comfortable. Some of the double bedrooms were smaller than expected but fine overall. Beds were very comfortable. It was useful to have extra living space in the annexe. The lounge there became a temporary home office. One downside-the dishwasher was not adequate for the number of people staying at full occupancy. We spent too much time at the kitchen sink.……

“4 night break with family in half term. Hotel was new when we stayed so everything was fresh and in spoiled by others. Room was great, nice bathroom and lounge area. Kitchen well stocked to do basic cooking in terms of utensils etc. food at the restaurant was a bit lacking in choice, however was very tasty. No complaints here. ”
