“We stayed at leatherwood for one night and headed a couple of miles down the road to the outfitter before starting our paddle trip. Leatherwood is a great and spacious house with everything you need. If you’re driving in the dark the sign can be a bit hard to see but if you’re looking out for it, it’s no problem at all! “This small house is super cute. And it has all the amenities we wanted, including an outdoor hot tub and laundry machines in the big bathroom. Oh, and the central air conditioning worked great.I'm 6'8"so it was unfortunately short for me inside. I couldn't stand up straight in there. And the door frame of course made the entry even lower. But the shower, surprisingly, is not very low in comparison.Be ready for some gravel country roads, because you have to drive on a mile and a half of gravel to……

“We loved our stay at the Rock House! The home was clean and comfortable. John and his daughter Amy were very accommodating. We got to visit with John a couple of times. He showed us how to get to the river, both on the property and from a nearby public road and even provided us plenty of firewood. There were a lot of ticks by the river so I recommend bringing tick spray. I suspect it has to to with the time of year rather than location because this was not the only spot we picked them up and……

The home, yard and neighborhood are all very nice, very quiet, in the country but only a couple miles from town. The backyard with pool and "Barefoot Bar" is a wonderful place to relax after a day out hiking. Would stay here again!”

“This was the perfect place to stay for our annual Buffalo River weekend. Along with it being absolutely gorgeous, it had everything we needed to feel right at home. The beds were very comfortable and it has a washer/dryer which was a nice perk. We were able to wash our beach towels each day and we didn’t have to bring home stinky towels and a mountain of laundry! I also loved that it’s pet friendly and our little yorkie was allowed to tag along”
