Host suggested several good places to visit/sample, stayed in contact as well including when internet went down for a day. Well-equipped place, including outdoor garden area with gas BBQ and dining area.”

“We loved our stay at the Dogwood Inn. We had the best of both worlds--a quiet, peaceful setting in the woods with Rte. 25A and all of its conveniences just a short drive away. This was our first trip to Long Island, and we fell in love with the general area, all the old homes in Miller Place, the great Italian food at Savino's Hideaway just down the road, and the tasty treats at McNulty's Ice Cream Parlor. Cedar Beach on the Sound was nearby, and we were only an hour (or less) from the gorgeous……

“If I could give this booking 6-stars, I would. House is exactly as advertised. Spotlessly clean, rooms are a good size, linens and bedding are luxurious. Ashley was an amazing host. Very responsive, instructions to access the unit were easy to understand. We were there for a running race and she even left us a care package with Gatorade snacks and some post run hot chocolate (it was January)! If we’re back in Patchogue, her listing will definitely be my first choice!”

“Host never showed up to give us our key so we could not get in. We contacted VRBO and they could not get a hold of our host either. The VRBO customer service was helpful. We had to search for a last minute hotel and nothing was available. Thankfully a friend let us stay 45 minutes away for the night. We were able to find a hotel for the other 2 nights at steep prices. Hopefully VRBO will make good like they said and pay for the hotel and give us our refund. VRBO was great to us on the phone and……
