“We loved the location, and it's was fun to visit with the animals. Wish we were able to sample some of the chicken eggs. There is a bit of deferred maintenance, some water damage in the kitchen. Would also have been great if there was a hair dryer available, especially as the weather gets colder. All in all a fun stay at a farm with a great location.”

“My family loved the farmhouse! The land it sits on is amazing, with river frontage and views from the house and yard of Blue Ridge, and Massanutten. The house is well preserved making it a private superb gem of the valley. ”

“Tough place to find when we arrived at night, but reading the reviews i knew this. I would recommend a sign at the "Y" in the drive way to point to the house. The house itself was very nice. There is definitely a smell of dogs in the house so if that is an issue, this may not be your place. I was not able to utilize the outdoor spaces or the river because of a storm. I was there for a JMU finction and it was in a great location, far enough yet close enough. Again the only issue is the dog smell,……

The house was on a stunning secluded piece of land outside Charlottesville and offered incredible views. The house was very well appointed and they certainly thought of everything. “This property is pretty expensive for a one-person weekend retreat, and I was worried I would regret it. I didn't--not one little bit. The house is so incredibly comfortable and spotless and easy. And the sauna is truly incredible. I used it a LOT. The view is lovely as well, and it's an easy drive to some great hikes. I highly recommend this place. ”
