“Very disappointed with this stay booked for the family (2 adults and 4 children) months in advance for the half term. The advert said that it was suitable for the 6 of us. When we got there, there was a king sized bed (very comfortable) and 2 single beds but no made up sofa bed for the remaining 2 guests. The sofa was filthy with stains of food and drink. After calling the lady who sent the check in details, was informed of how to prepare the sofa bed, but on pulling out the bottom, there were……

“I usually stay in this hotel for business and it's my third time - I was a bit disappointed on this occasion as my room was smaller than usual and looked quite shabby with damage to the wall. Also disappointed that they've stopped the free drink in return for no housekeeping for eco reasons which was a nice touch. Still has a lovely menu, breakfast and atmosphere however. ”

“Brilliant hotel, unfortunately the food let it down. We had an evening meal wigh over cooked mixed grill and cold and the breakfast came cold. Definitely not worth eating here. Which is a huge shame as the hotel rooms are fantastic.”

“Stayed here a couple of times and there is a lovely vibe. The rooms are an absolute electric mix of modern and antiques, beds are comfy and there is plenty of space. All rooms are very different so if you want a bath or shower in particular, make sure you check the details. Food in the pub is amazing, staff are very welcoming and the chef accommodated my dietary request without hesitation.”
