“The location is beautiful. The house was clean. kayaking and canoeing on the lake was amazing. Also rented a boat one morning to tour the tree beautiful waterfalls on the lake. The only issue would have been parking, however the owner was very accommodating. It's best if your able to park your vehicle inside the garage. Great lake front location with beautiful towns nearby.”

“We came down for a weekend to visit our son who attends WCU but also to adopt a dog from the shelter. We knew we’d have a dog with us for the last night there and needed a pet friendly home and found Lisa’s place. The home, location, ease, location, and friendliness all exceeded our expectations. We decided night one we would be back for sure. Night two after visiting the shelter we decided we’d even love to come back and save another four legged friend and bring them into our family. “The Treehouse Suite at The Calhoun House is a great property. This particular suite is located in a separate building from the other suites, which was ideal for us, as we had our baby and toddler with us. We did not worry about disturbing other guests if he cried or was a little loud. Edward was amazing as we checked in. He had some food essentials in the refrigerator and had some scrumptious treats from the local bakery. The suite was well stocked with toiletries and kitchen supplies and was……

“So, I booked our room back in September, October of 2021. Between then and when our trip was, the property changed owners. Apparently, there was a bit of a mixup with the booking and the whole lodge was booked for a reunion. We get there to check in, and not only do they still accommodate us, despite the mixup, they gave us an upgrade for no extra charge. We were staying for our anniversary and were absolutely thrilled with everything. We will definitely visit again in the future.”
