“The onsens are amazing and we did enjoy using them a lot during our stay. Especially the outdoor one provided a fantastic time, the peace and quiet of it makes you feel renewed extremely quickly. The food was interesting - and plenty of it! - and it provided a nice insight into a traditional dining experience. The hotel, however, is quite old-school and could definitely use a facelift by now, I think the pictures have been edited to make it look more modern. Having said that, I think the remote……
“The night spend at 榮和春蘭之宿 was fantastic.
We spent our evening walking through the little community, the street was filled with shops and onsen, view along was amazing!!
The resort itself was also very nice, the room was comfortable and cozy. People were welcoming! Also the breakfast and diner served with traditional japanese style food was perfect!”
“Amazing stay. Great food prepared by owners. The onsen is amazing and even famous locally which they can come use. The bus stop for ski park is 30 secs away. Old town is 10-15 mins walk away.”
“What a delightful place to stay! Cannot praise the staff enough! They were all so helpful, friendly and accomodating. Some English speaking staff, who were honestly the best we met in our two week stay in Japan. We were told that they don’t get many English-speaking visitors and we were the only ones there, which my teen son and I loved. We love immersing in the Japanese experience when visiting, and this hotel definitely offered this.
The rooms were simple but clean and tidy and well……
“I came to shiga kogen for skiing. The hotel location is excellent. You can have either 3 mins driving to Yokoteyama ski area or 5 mins driving to central area.
Other than the location, all staff are very polite, patient and helpful. Some of the staff are able to communicate in English and Cantonese fluently.
They have sufficient parking space compared to other hotels in shiga kogen. If you look for some living experience in a traditional Japanese hospitality, this is the one. Make sure your……
“High Accessibility
The hotel is near the Yodanaka Station, it takes 5-10mins walk. If you will drive over there, the hotel will provide the free parking. Also, they were so nice to clean up the snow every morning.
Also, it may take 15-20mins walk to the Shibu Onsen.
For skiing, it can take 30mins driving to Shiga Kogen. It takes 45mins driving to Nozawa Onsen Snow Resort.
Hotel provided a delicious meal and kids friendly. They provided a different set for the kid.
The Onsen is large……
“Staff is super helpful. Location is fantastic. On the slope, close to the chairlift. You can get your lift ticket at the chairlift station and you can rent your skis at the hotel.
Great breakfasts and dinners provided by the hotel.
Unbelievable views.
Not far from the shuttle bus stop. Head down to your left side and the hotel is the second one down.
Highly recommended if you want a traditional japan accomodation experience. ”
“A poor maintained onsen hotel!
No towel and locker available in the onsen, need to bring along everything from the room! The room itself is very old and poor maintained; the dining which is just fair, don’t expect that as same kind of Food and beverage to a graded resort; fortunately a Taiwanese lady serving down there with excellent service to pull the satisfaction up a bit! ”
