I booked the hotel on hotels.com and paid immediately, but after coming back our country, I checked my bills and found the hotel charged one more time through my credit card! After complaining this situation to hotel.com, the hotel is still processing and hasn's reply for one week! What a shame!”

“We used the hotels as a base for a safari tour and it was an ideal base. The location is great, being a short walk (1500m) out of Tissa. Lake Wind Resort is a beautiful heritage building that has had life injected again by new management. The team could not have been more helpful and attentive. We had a few minor issues, such as a very minor leak (understandable as the build has recently had work done), but the team addressed promptly and properly. Don’t let that put you off because the……

“basic guesthouse with 5 rooms and a communal room. bed was alright and came with clean bathroom. recommended to pay extra for the air con (which didn’t seem available as an option during booking) as it was really hot when we visited and the room was stuffy after awhile. (only reason y i gave a 4 rating as i was sweating throughout the night) the staff were great though especially Dhanushka who went all out to arrange a comfortable stay for us, including getting a beer and dinner for us. he……

“Cabanas located in trees - you are literally sleeping outside. Different experience, but nice. Be aware that animals may enter, and the river is very close by, so maybe not so good for people who needs complete silence to sleep. Staff very helpful and nice!”
