“The Punchbowl Inn was a lovely pub to stay at, the staff were very friendly, the food was amazing. The room was lovely and had a fantastic view of the dales. If I had to be picky it would have been nice to have a shower curtain or screen over the bath as using the shower head I tended to flood the floor, but the water was lovely and hot. and I would return again.”

“5 stars are not enough for the George and Dragon - the absolute best care and hospitality can be found here! Such a gem in a beautiful village with so much history. All the staff were so kind and accommodating, and the food was delicious and generous portions. Only place open for dinner in the evening so be sure to reserve! Highly highly recommend. ”

“Very basic rooms. One person seems to do all work from cooking to serving. Very helpful and friendly. But place badly needs more staff to clean and serve. One man cannot manage. Hotel in gear location to discover town and railway station by foot. Take car driving into hotel carpark as very narrow. Some good local beers on offer at bar. ”
