“Excellent location and well equipped room but the room which had been warm in the sunshine was cold after dark and during the night. There was no heating. We would stay there again however.”

“My recent stay was extremely disappointing. The bed was very uncomfortable, making it hard to get a good night's sleep. Additionally, the shower head was broken, which made bathing an unpleasant experience. The room itself was dusty and had a bad smell, compounded by the constant noise from the surroundings. “The room was in a lodge at the rear of the house. It's was modern, stylishly decorated and well appointed. Good size bathroom had a problem with the drainage. The Monroe restaurant had a fixed two or three course menu (mushroom then salmon for me)and although the dishes were expertly presented as much as I wanted to like them I just didn't, I found them too bland for my taste. I hoped that breakfast would be better but the solid poached eggs & budget sausage just cemented my opinion. I would……

“Staff were fantastic from checking in to servicing the room and our needs. Nothing was any trouble. Restaurant staff were amazing along with all the chefs. Food was amazing cannot fault any meal we had. Nice garden area to sit outside The only thing to mention is outside our hotel room door (room 5 first floor) there must be a generator as every morning from 7am onwards. Along with the sound it also caused vibrations on our door. So if you are a light sleeper bear this in mind. We were there 3……

“We were greeted by a charming guy called Alex. He was so friendly and welcoming. He did his very best to give us a room with a sea view, even though we’d not originally requested one. Rooms are comfortable, bed was comfy and we slept well. The hotel is near all amenities and wonderful walks around Mumbles and the pier. We’ll definitely stay here again. ”

“Had a lovely time staying here. Different from staying in a hotel. Hot drinks offered to us every time we came in. Beautiful big bedroom with a large bathroom with bath and separate shower. Clean, tidy, really comfortable bed. Had the best 2 nights sleep I’ve had for ages. The breakfast was cooked to perfection and the proprietors are lovely, warm, friendly people. Would definitely recommend and will definitely return next time we’re in the area. Thank you both x”
