“This is a beautifully and tastefully restored vintage property. The hosts are welcoming and multilingual. I highly recommend it.
My only minor complaint was that I found it impossible to turn off the air conditioning at night - I don't like to sleep with AC. My solution was to pull out the room card from the power control and turn off the electricity for the room, but that meant we couldn't charge our phones. But that's minor, and I'm sure that if we'd said something the management would have……
“It’s fine to stay there. Overall is good.
The private beach was good.
The hair dryer was not provided.
And there is no desk in the rooms so not so easy to use laptops.
The bed and shower room are good,
But there was a thunder storm coming and the electricity was down for hours.
The breakfast is ok. ”
“Oh boy, what to say? The owner is very, very nice, and the place is right at the seafront, close to nice restaurants and the main sights in the city (it's a tiny city, though). However, it was very difficult to find, since it doesn't have a sign (is it a legal hospitality accommodation?), the public spaces are filthy and the private rooms, though reasonably clean, worn and in desperate need of renovation. For the adventurous traveller only. ”
“Location was great, close to the heart of the old town. Staff were friendly and welcoming. Balcony looking on to the old city wall was nice. However, the bed had no top sheet - just a bottom sheet and a blanket. We tried to get a sheet of one of the bunk beds, but it was dirty and smelly. Staff provided a top sheet when asked and we fitted it ourselves.
There were no tea or coffee making facilities anywhere. The TV had no channels at all, so was purely for decoration.”
“It is a case of you get what you paid for. The breakfast was lousy. The shower was terrible and flooded the bathroom. The room was very clean and spacious for two people. The balcony was big and a great surprise. It did not feel like a hostel but more like a hotel.. The staff were very friendly. The air conditioning turned off when we left the room, not a major issue. Overall if you are on a limited budget it is worth looking into this place. It was in a great location.”
“Lovely place! I would stay there again.
For travelers who are religious Jews: the place is pretty Shabbat-worthy--hard key on a carabiener, but be sure to set the clock on the microwave before Shabbat b/c otherwise no clocks in the room. Also no challah to be had in the Old City where this is though I assume in the new city (a drive or cab ride away) you could get it.”
“Carmel Forest was amazing—like stepping into another world. Tranquil, beautiful, and relaxing. I came to stay and visit friends nearby but next time would come and never leave the property. Love the policy of allowing guests to arrive early and stay after checking out to use the facilities. Dining was delightful; I especially liked the evening dinner menu included with half board. Spa facilities were expansive and service was five star!”
“Check in was easy and very pleasant. Staff was very accommodating. Pool area very nice. Breakfast selection was amazing. I would definitely stay here again. Michael”
“Great family apartment, had everything we needed and plenty of room for a family of 4, would definitely stay again. The views of the beach where amazing.”
“Beautiful hotel with best location where a lot of restaurants around. Very helpful staff. We arrived in Haifa and day after was Yom Kippur, Mr Yaniv working at the hotel helped us to get a taxi take us from Haifa to Jerusalem. Very appreciate their help and will definitely come to stay with the same hotel when visiting the beautiful city of Haifa.”
“The hotel was wonderful, with a beutiful pool and rooms. The area is a little on its own. Im sure you can do great hikes but i didnt notice any orginized walking tours that would have been nice.”
