“We were totally charmed with our stay at Hillcrest House Bed & Breakfast in Bamburgh! We climbed the beautiful staircase to our room (Room 1, Deluxe Double Room, Sea View) - we could see the North Sea from our window and right out the window was a sheep and bunny field! We love this! The breakfast options were amazing and Malcom cooked it to perfection! ”

“Bertrams is a lovely place to stay in Warkworth. The rooms are very comfortable with everything you need. The staff are really friendly and nothing is too much trouble. We stayed in a dog friendly room which was at the front facing the road. The room was really hot due to the great weather but we were unable to have the window open during the night because of the noise from the busy road. We did however have a freestanding fan which was excellent and very much appreciated. Breakfasts are……

“We paid 90 pounds for a 3 single-beded room but got a 70 ponds room. The staff said it not possible to chang the room but are willing to return our money back. The staff is friendly but somehow we still frustrated about the negotiations.”

“Grand old building , room clean and tidy , excellent night’s sleep . Breakfast good loved the timed sit down . Significant problem in that to ensure right mix of tables, all through the meal tables were being dismantled rolled out to a storage room and others replaced and set . A bit like breakfast whilst refurbishment on going .”

The staff were friendly and very helpful, my luggage was taken to my room while I was out owing to an early arrival, then I was shown to my room when I returned. The food was very good and hot when brought to the table, plus advice on wine selection, dietary requirement catered for. It was very hot during my stay and the air conditioning was great, bed was very comfortable. ”
