“We had a wonderful visit to Acadia while staying in this VRBO. The cottage is clean with lots of natural light. The host answered questions quickly and was extremely helpful. We appreciated the whole-house water filtration system, as the groundwater in the area isn't great.”

“The cottage was the perfect place for a family base camp. The location was ideal for the park visits and ocean time. We would come back again for sure. ”

“The stay was fine and the host a nice enough guy. However, just to lay out some facts: - The primary picture of the shed was taken before the units 1 and 2 were hung on the outside. The unit is half of that and you share a wall with another guest where you can hear everything they say or do. - The shed is about 50 yards from the primary house and about 50 feet from another structure that is an active construction site. - In order to turn on the AC, you have to stand on an old fold out wooden……

“House was clean and lawn was mowed. Those are the positives.Landscaping is untended and overgrown everywhere. Entrance to the house is through the garage which is still half filled with trash. Hot tub abandoned, gas fireplace disconnected. Pool is gone and the deck has a slapped together fence where the pool used to be. It is clear that the owners/management company did as little as possible to turn this from a home to a rental, left a bunch of random stuff in the garage and basement and……

“We had a wonderful stay at Quietside Cottage. We loved the quiet street for our kids to walk and ride bikes on; we loved proximity to town to be able to walk to ice cream, coffee, and restaurants. We loved proximity to hiking in Acadia, and swimming at Echo lake. We loved proximity to the SW bus stop to be able to get to Bar Harbor without a car. In terms of the house itself, the three season room was our favorite place to be - very comfortable for our kids and for us. The bedrooms were small……

“The Barnacle is an amazing spot on Buck's Harbor for a family gathering. ”

“Very beautiful house and super clean. The street was a bit busy and it was tricky getting in and out with the traffic at times. The one shower was a bit tight and the initial wifi set up necessitated a 30 minute call with customer service. But overall, it was a nice property and experience.”

“This room is perfect for someone who is traveling or needs to stay the night on passerby travel. Very simplistic, but as long as you’re okay with minimals, it’s worth it. The host is very kind and helpful. The only thing (I’m sure you can ask if you need to) is first pulling up to the room, it’s a little further back down the driveway on the right. Other than that, perfect.”

“The beds need upgrading. Limited resturants in the area with early closing times.Walmart about 45 mins away. Couple attractions close buy. If you want quiet, good area.”
