“It was fine. The room smelled highly of fabuloso cleaner, which I didn’t like. But if you’re just looking to crash out for a night it’s fine. If you’re looking for luxury, go back to Aspen. It’s just a hotel to sleep in not write home about. ”

“What a wonderful, historic hotel ! It’s right in downtown Leadville. The staff was so nice, the room and bed were super comfy. I would definitely stay here again. Two things to be aware of. There are some very steep stairs ans no rooms on the first floor and no elevator. It’s a historic old hotel so not a surprise, just if you have trouble navigating stairs, it’s something to take into consideration. Also no A/C. Not really an issue with our stay last night, but in summer again something……

“The staff is super nice and accommodating. Given how cheap this was compared to typical Aspen prices, I had low expectations but was pleasantly surprised. The hotel felt cozy, there was a good choice at breakfast, and the staff was very available and willing to help. The rooms were somewhat old with some signs of wear (as I expected based on the price and reviews), but I was pleasantly surprised they were functional and clean. The location is fantastic.
