“Had a few days in The Lakes while visiting family in the UK and attending the Oasis concert in London. We could not have been happier with The Ambleside Inn - totally excellent stay. Great location, wonderful staff (thank you) and although no onsite parking there are lots very close to the Inn and the short stay (30 min) drop off is right outside. Highlights: clean and pretty well kept, despite it being super busy (it was July!), with a really good breakfast and a nice cozy bar plus Pub Food in……

“Perfect place for a getaway. We were warmly welcomed by the host who straight away recommended places to go for dinner. Our room was lovely with a beautiful view of the countryside. “Visable damp on the bathroom wall by the shower and a very strong smell of damp in the downstairs area including bedrooms. The owner tried to disguise the smell with air fresheners and by leaving the windows open but the smell of damp was still immediately apparent on entry. Had we been staying longer than 2 nights and not arrived so late in the evening on the first night we would have left. It was a real shame because everything else about the property and surrounding area was beautiful, but……

“We went as a family of 4 and our stay was great. No problem at all except we got a bit cold at night, but that’s it! Everything else was great. We got free parking just up the road courtesy of the b&b management and breakfast was also included, which wasn’t mentioned on the initial booking. So bonuses all round really!”
