“My second time in a year to the Lake District. Great Hotel and excellent rooms. My room was flooded with light and a big comfortable bed. Heating was great and the house keeping. The breakfasts are fantastic and certainly worth the indulgence. It’s located in a lovely village, with breweries, pubs, tea rooms and local craft shops. I highly recommend a stay. ”

“This place has a lot of potential as a classic country hotel. Check in wasn’t particularly welcoming and first impressions count. We were shown to our room and it was cold with no lights on. The receptionist who wasn’t friendly was shocked when I commented on that… Breakfast was slow but we were relaxed and enjoyed the views. Good quality though and plenty of options. Room 2 was lovely (once the heating and correct lighting had been turned on) with great views. Comfy bed and good linens.……

“A great guest house in the heart of Ambleside with secure parking a two minute walk away. Room was excellent, very well decorated ad fitted out. ON-suite was good and the shower was super powerful. Tracey and Kevin were great, super friendly and breakfasst was top notch, loved the big fat cumberland sausage and the poached eggs were excellent. Would highly reccomend.”

“Natural site, room is in high standard. The host is friendly and his cooking for breakfast is appreciated. Though it takes 15 minutes walk from bus stop, the way around is full of natural feeling. You may breathe a natural smell or listen to sheep voice. It's an excellent experience and will highly recommend my friends to visit and myself is highly and likely to revisit again. ”

“We went as a family of 4 and our stay was great. No problem at all except we got a bit cold at night, but that’s it! Everything else was great. We got free parking just up the road courtesy of the b&b management and breakfast was also included, which wasn’t mentioned on the initial booking. So bonuses all round really!”

“Cosy central clean property. Minor niggles re duvet not being in a cover, television having a mind of its own, car parking awkward even for a medium sized car. Otherwise we loved it.”

“Beautiful lodge, it had a home from home feel. It was cosy and comfortable with great space. We loved the hot tub. I would stay again and definitely recommend. The location was great, we drove but also great bus links. ”
