“We loved our stay in the Turtle room! We had a last minute change in our itinerary and needed a place for only one night... But we wished we had more time at this spot! The owners are very kind and responsive. The room was very comfy and cozy. I appreciated all the shelving in the rooms and bathroom. AC worked great. And the screened in porch was really wonderful to hang out on. It's also in a great location for wandering around the village. ”

“Can't say enough good things about Alux! My friend and I visited Placencia for our Birthdays and were originally booked at other accomadations. We left the other place after one night and found Alux. What a gem! It is in the heart of the village. Everything is walkable, with lots of options for food, shopping and fun. “STAY HERE! The best experience I’ve had at any resort ever. The staff is lovely, the food is fantastic, and the island itself is right out of your wildest dream. At night, there are noises akin to what you’d hear on a ship, or deep in the woods—which may be relaxing to some and annoying go others. Also, the hot water can be an otter finicky. But trust me, you will not care! This is truly a once-in-a-lifetime experience that I wouldn’t miss for anything! No other vacation has compared. ”

“What an amazing property. This little island (about 1 acre in size) is absolutely beautiful. The boat ride from Placencia was definitely farther than a 10 minutes....more like a 40-45 minute trip as the island is approx 20 miles in the middle of the ocean. The staff is one of a kind..... “Authentic hotel to stay at. Beautiful. Note, there is a lot of seaweed so you can’t go in the water. Well you can a little on the left hand side. There are a lot of waves. I saw a couple go to the pier and jumped in for their daily swim. Also, the price for diner or anything you purchase at hotel from spa to food or anything else, it’s US Dollars. The other nearby hotels had Belize prices. I ordered ice cream from Roberts Grove and it was $8 US dollars. Hotel nearby charged. Belize dollars which……
