“Large building hidden atop of hill at the end of a cul den sac with fantastic views looking at onto the ocean as you walk out of the reception. A quick walk up the steps outside the front of the hotel and you can see for miles out on the sea front. Hotel itself well looked not a 4 or 5 star but good if your on a budget the rooms are basic but clean. The bar restaurant area is probably the best most up-to-date modern part of the hotel. Well stocked bar and I didn't eat any of the set menu but……

“Rating based entirely on the friendliness and helpfulness of the staff and the fantastic spa facilities. There was work going on while we were there which was a minor inconvenience but the room we stayed in was the real let down. Dated and uncared for. The bathroom was poorly finished and the shower was not the cleanest. The flooring was lifting and squishy in places and the room itself smelt of damp. We ended up using the spa showers in the end which were superb. Scoffs and marks all over the……

“Convenient position. Efficient people on reception. Nice cosy room. I didn't like some noisy guests with no consideration for others e.g. late at night loud talking of adults and children and banging doors. May be a notice in all rooms saying please be considerate to others and close doors quietly and not to speak too loudly. A hook needed on back of bathroom door to hang towel.”

“We had a one night stay in the hotel, we were greeted and made to feel very welcome. The hotel is an old build but is very clean, the room was huge with a double bed and bunk beds. Bedding was fresh and clean, bathroom clean and the water lovely and hot with lots of fresh towels. Overall a great stay, will definitely book again. Highly recommend if your in Torquay ”
