“Room was very comfortable, staff are friendly, foods is excellent. But, it needs improvement in car park facilities, an additional staff for parking may be better at peak season.”

“Ignore the bad reviews. This is the second year running I’ve came here with my children. The hotel is clean and the staff are really polite and helpful it’s cheaper than the other hotels in the area as it’s being refurbished the rooms are decent and lovely views if you get a sea room. ”

“We have been going to The Imperial for over 20 years and seen many changes. Its an old building but well kept and comfortable. The grounds are well kept but will never be "beautiful". It suits us and we hope to be able to return for a few more years.”

“Friendly staff, great location for the museum, theatre, seafront and harbour. There is a bus stop right outside for Barnstaple for shopping. We asked if we could have a ground floor room when we booked and that was what we were given. The bathroom was large and very clean. We had to leave early as our granddaughter was unwell and the night staff were very helpful. We would stay in this hotel again. Only downside was the decor was a bit tired in our room.”

“Great hotel, modern, comfortable and clean room if a little on the small size. Food was good but would like more menu choice as there aren't really any alternative places to eat nearby. Breakfast was excellent. Staff were pleasant and helpful.”
