“Booked a valley castle room w king bed for one night in late Sep. Room was very clean with comfy n up to date decor. Room was big enough and soundproof quality was good. Big garden surrounded hotel n we took a pleasant walk the next day. Should have stayed for one or two nights so as to enjoy swimming pool and other facilities. The historical building was well maintained. Very pleasant stay ”

“We travel to North Devon every year and normally stay in Woolacombe. However, this year we went with another family and this collage was perfect for us all. We did have a hiccup at the start which was completely out of the host's control and Mark was absolutley brilliant in sorting us out. The accommodation is lovely and Mark is very attentive. We particularly liked the snug and the large kitchen, which was well equipted, plus a washer and dryer (fabulous!). Outside you can wash out……

“We stayed at the Buttercups Lodge. It was a very comfortable stay and also very serene and peaceful. The location of the lodge is ideal for a family or couple who want to go exploring different parts of Devon and also a drive to Cornwall. The lodge has everything you need and the view of Dartmoor is absolutely breathtaking from it. Andrew and Sally were brilliant hosts and kept in communication with us whenever we needed it. Thankyou so much for our wonderful stay. My six year old didn't want to……

“Lovely warm welcome from Hilary and instantly made to feel at home. Food was perfect and Hilary’s homemade marmalade is very special. The peace and quiet is stunning along with the views and wildlife. A perfect get away!”

“Room was good, clean. Was able to park near the room. location was good as participated in the Dartmoor Classic. Did not have the breakfast as I had to leave before breakfast started although the hotel were starting breakfast early for participants which was a kind gesture. Only fault was there were no USB Charging ports in my room.”
